ARSC Funds Hydra Fuel Cell Certification Through UL and FCC

Houston, TX (BusinessWire) February 23, 2006 – American Security Resources Corporation (OTCBB: ARSC) announced today that it has raised capital through a private placement to fund the FCC and Underwriters Laboratory (UL) certification processes for its proprietary HydraStax™ hydrogen fuel cells. The certification process must be completed prior to the manufacture of fuel sells for sale to the public.

“We expect to begin the certification process by the first of April in order to initiate the mass production of our HydraStax™ in the third quarter of this year,” stated Bob Farr, President of ARSC. “When we complete the certification process this year we will be ready to begin selling the HydraStax™,” he added.

The HydraStax™ fuel cell is a proprietary technology owned by ARSC that increases both the efficiency and useful life of fuel cell membranes. The HydraStax™ design allows for the mass production of the fuel cell units at cost far lower than that of competing technologies. The company believes that the combination of these factors will drive the HydraStax™ to widespread adoption within the fuel cell industry.

American Security Resources Corporation, “ARSC” is a holding company developing and acquiring technologies that will advance the development of alternative energies. ARSC, through its Hydra subsidiary, is developing high efficiency, mass producible hydrogen fuel cells.
